Dr. Robyn McGrew PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Meet Robyn:

Robyn is passionate about people. She is determined to use her gifts to maximize her purpose in life and wants to help others do the same. She enjoys adventure and recently traveled out of the country to do healthcare overseas with an international nonprofit organization.

Robyn is originally from Northern California but completed both her undergraduate and graduate schooling in Southern California. She and Donny both studied physical therapy at Azusa Pacific University, which is the connection that ultimately brought her to the Kansas City area.

When she is not at work, Robyn enjoys doing anything and everything outdoors. Most often you will find her running or hiking with her dog. When she is not outdoors, she enjoys studying languages, learning piano, and watching a good movie.

Q&A with Robyn:

What’s the best part of your story so far?

The best part of my story so far is the incredible people I have had the privilege of getting to know throughout my life. These people include coworkers, patients, mentors, family and friends. As I’ve studied physical therapy, I’ve met some incredible people during PT school as well as during my fellowship training and I am excited to meet more!

What organization or company inspires you and why?

Freedom PTTC inspires me enough to move across the country and be a part of the vision to maximize function, achieve dreams, and change lives while harboring a unifying work environment for employees.

What is something no one would ever believe to be true about you?

Most people wouldn’t believe that I was chased by a bear or that I want to adopt as many kids as possible.

What are you passionate about related to the work you do in serving others?

I’m passionate about getting to know the people I am serving – who they are and what they live for.

What are you doing when you feel most like you?

Anytime I am laughing or doing something active I feel the most like me.  This includes running, hiking, snowboarding, or playing most any sport. I have never wake boarded or water-skied so those are still on my list to try.

In an alternative life, what would you want to give a try?

In an alternate life I’d be a gymnast so I could flip and fly through the air whenever I want to. Otherwise, I would pursue singing and dancing.
